NEQ Gathering of the Marques – Lime Rock Park

Lime Rock’s final major event of the year is the Historic Festival over Labor Day weekend. On Sunday, August 31st the Gathering of the Marques will be held as part of the weekend events. The Gathering displays an incredibly diverse collection of sports, performance, and classic cars. Hundreds of cars will line the track grouped by make, model, or country of origin.
NEQ will join the Gathering with our Audis lining up on the Lime Rock track. Last year we had 26 Audis participate. We will set up a tent and provide some refreshments.
Members should bring their own pop up chairs or blankets to sit on. You can, bring your own lunch and have a picnic or purchase food from food trucks/vendors on site.
In recent years, the Lime Rock Concours has devoted a class to a preeminent automotive coachbuilder, including such famed carrozzerie as Pininfarina and Touring. For Historic Festival 43, we will honor the prolific designer Georgetto Giugiaro.
Giugiaro began his design career at Fiat in Turin in the mid-1950s but then moved across town to Carrozzeria Bertone, where his proposals for the Alfa 2000 and 2600 Sprints and later Giulia GT and GTV models fueled Alfa’s growth in the 1960s. Giugiaro would leave Bertone in 1965 for a brief stint at Ghia, where he penned the De Tomaso Mangusta and the Maserati Ghibli before founding his eponymous design house in 1968.

The 42nd edition of the Lime Rock Historic Festival once again brings together an exciting and diverse field of historic racing machines for a Labor Day Weekend celebration of speed, sound and beauty with classes that range from pre-war open-wheel cars to the sports and formula cars of the postwar era.
More than racing, there’s also a swap meet, automobilia, featured speakers, concessions, and more to enjoy over the long weekend.
As a part of HF42’s Sunday in the Park, The Lime Rock Concours offers a special line up of beautiful and historic cars across several groups to vie for the Best-in-Show Award.
Sunday’s second event is the Gathering of the Marques, which hosts enthusiasts and clubs representing nearly every make and model, all arranged around the 1.5-mile Lime Rock course. With as many as 800 cars expected, the event will showcase an incredibly diverse display of cars grouped by make, model or country of origin. As part of Historic Festival, Lime Rock Park selects an Honored Collector to be celebrated throughout the weekend. This year’s collector is Rob Dyson
Rob Dyson’s long motorsport career has brought many friendships along the way—among them, a lasting connection with Skip Barber. The two shared a love of driving, mentoring young racers, and preserving the history of motorsport. Both are members of the Road Racing Drivers Club (RRDC), and Dyson served as a Director of the Skip Barber Racing School, supporting Skip’s mission of growing the sport from the grassroots up.
But racing isn’t just about driving — it’s about building. In 1983, Dyson founded the Dyson Racing Team in Poughkeepsie, New York. What began as a small effort would become one of America’s most accomplished sports car teams, collecting 19 championships, 72 race wins, 72 pole positions, and 224 podiums over nearly four decades.

- This is a general admission ticket and and entry pass for gathering of the marques combined.
- This ticket is only for people who are showing their car in gathering of the marques.
- You only need one ticket per car, regardless of the number of passengers.
Tickets should be picked up at the Lime Rock Will Call booth on Sunday morning. The gates open at 7:30am. Walk-up members who do not pre-register will be able to park with the other Audis on the track if there is room.
